TONYA CRANFORD, FNP-C

Tonya Cranford, FNP-C grew up in a small town located in the eastern part of North Carolina.  She moved to Raleigh while starting her undergraduate work in Education at Meredith College.  Tonya then attended East Carolina University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.  Her initial nursing career started at Duke Medical Center in Durham as a NeuroScience Step-Down Nurse.  While working at Duke she was nominated in honoring excellence through 'Friends of Nursing' as well as awarded several golden stars for 

going above and beyond in patient care. She was also a three time letter Receiver of Recognition of Appreciation for Nursing Excellence from Duke President, Kevin Sowers.

After starting a family, Tonya located to Burlington.  She continued her nursing career with Moses Cone Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC) on the Medical Surgical Unit.  While at ARMC, Tonya was recognized as Employee of the Month.  She also earned her Clinical Nurse III in Leadership. Tonya participated as a Belle for the ARMC Cancer Center raising close to $10,000 independently for patients affected by cancer. These funds were directly distributed to those affected by cancer in the community to aide in personal hardship. 

While at ARMC, Tonya started her graduate work with Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY, the birth place of Family Nursing and Midwifery.  She attended the alma mater of pioneer Mary Breckenridge to receive a Master's Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Tonya continues to strive hard to provide the utmost care for her patients and their families. She looks forward to caring for you. 


Recently, Tonya moved to Asheboro with her husband who is a local native.  She is excited to be a part of the Randolph County Community.  When not at work Tonya enjoys spending time at Badin Lake with her husband and two young children.
